ACLS Instructor Course

Service Description

Requirements: 1. Healthcare Background: You must hold a current license or certification in a healthcare occupation where ACLS skills fall within your scope of practice (e.g., nurse, physician, paramedic, nurse practitioner, physician associate). 2. Current Provider Card: You must hold a valid, unexpired AHA ACLS Provider eCard/card. (Note: The provider course must have been taken in a classroom setting, not entirely online). 3. BLS Prerequisite: Must hold a current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) provider and/or instructor status, as ACLS instructors are typically expected to teach or understand BLS principles. Includes: 1. Instructor Essentials Course (online portion) 2. Classroom in-person session 3. AHA Alignment 4. Access to Instructor Network 5. One ACLS Monitoring Session 6. Free Bridging to become American Red Cross Instructor 7. Discounted Renewal Process of $350 instead of $450 every 2 years (If you stay aligned with us) You will need to obtain separately: 1. Provider Manual 2. Instructor Manual 3. Teaching Videos 4. Equipment (Mannequins (Adult and Infant), one way valves, pocket masks, BVMs (Adult and Infant), AED training device, etc.) Upon completion of this course and its requirements, students will in in accordance with AHA guidelines and will be able to deliver an array of courses.
